Zipping Classic
The Zipping Classic, formerly the Sandown Classic, is a Melbourne Racing Club Group 2 Australian Thoroughbred horse race held under weight for age conditions, for horses aged three years old and upwards, over a distance of 2400 metres. It is held at Sandown Racecourse in Melbourne in November. Prize money in is A$400,000.

- 1920 - 1942 was held over 12 furlongs (2400 metres)
- 1943 - 1950 was held over 13 furlongs (2600 metres)
Name
- From 1888 it was known as the Williamstown Cup
- 1964 - 1998 it was called the Sandown Cup
- 1999 - 2010 it was called the Sandown Classic
- 2011 onwards it is called the Zipping Classic
